Hi, Hello!

Welcome! I'm so happy you're here!

I'm Lauren and my friends know me by three things:

1. I whistle and sing wherever I go.

2. I have a lot of dresses.

3. Smiling is my favourite.

This website has acted as my online portfolio, for my schooling at Rosebud School of the Arts, however, it now a home for my blog and other adventures that fill my time. I have spent my time as an Actor, Musician, Developmental Aide, worked at an adorable Bed & Breakfast (The Rosebud Country Inn), part time at a lumber store, teach ukulele (Westview Arts Academy), selling lovely furniture that my mother reclaims (Rustic Roses), and a few other things. Now I'm ready to say yes to another adventure - Occupational Therapy. But there's one step first: a Rehabilitation Therapist Assistant Program. I have discovered that I have one calling that manifests itself in a lot of positions: helping and loving people. This website allows you to get to know me and follow along!

Latest & Greatest.

Life has brought lots of wonderful changes and all at once! I've recently gotten married, graduated as a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant and I now get to work in the most charming Long Term Care Facility. I love going to work and saying hi to all the residents. They are my favourite exchanges because sometimes I come into work and they have passed away. I try to soak up the precious moments and I truly treasure them.

I had quite a consistent line up of music gigs for quite some time, however, COVID put a hold on that, plus with going to school and getting married, there was not a lot of spare time. But I'm hoping to get some up and going because sharing stories through song is another passion of mine. Be sure to check out the music tab for more details!

Other than that, I'm grateful for my simple but full life. My husband is truly a gift and I inherited two lovely kitties! Yes, I'm a cat mom now and proud of it! I'm quite content with my calling changing from acting and pursuing the stage has shifted to walking beside the elderly through their last days on the earth. Strangely, it has the same meaning for me, which is unexpected, but again, a thing to cherish. Then again, I am grateful that sometimes music and acting find their way into my life again. The Lord has been so good and to Him be the glory.
