A Lover of the Light

This is Lauren. She's a mother, a Dearheart, a Photographer, but also a soul friend. And it's her birthday today. I want to celebrate her and everything that she chases.

I first met Lauren when I was 18 and we were in the same class at Rosebud School of the Arts. I knew we were going to be friends because she laughed at my jokes. We walked into a shop in town and the lady at the front desk said, "Ah, you must be The Laurens." Indeed, that was us. 

She is a woman that fights to understand, craves clarity, and is fascinated by light. She is a best friend who listens, encourages, and loves more deeply than you'll ever know. She's also protective and is passionate about equality, also known as feminism. 

I've known Lauren through a few stages of her life and have been happy to witness all of them. You've been there for me through heartbreak, times of victory, and times where we just needed to sit together. However, your presence was always known. Happy Birthday, Dear Heart. I wish you the brightest and most brilliant year yet.
