New Year, New Goals
Last year was a great year, as I've mentioned before. However, did I manage to accomplish any of my New Years Resolutions? Let's take a look.
1. Blogging- Yes! I did this one and I did it well! I've kept all of you up to date with what was going on, with what The Lord wanted me to share and with some other fun posts to do with the season!
I'm hoping to do even better this year! Get my words out there for more people to see, have more variety and have more fun with it! It felt very serious last year because I was just starting out. This year, I'm going to put less pressure on it but at the same time be more intentional. I’ve even started adding to my stories about something that was special and Holy Spirit led every day!
2. Banjo- I hardy spent any time with my banjo last year. There was lots of growing pains last year that banjo playing was a part of. But I'm happy to report that I grew much more as a musician! I had the pleasure of playing for some events and getting to know how I tell story by myself works. And I even learned some really fun Jazz songs, which I also wanted to do!
3. Start schooling to become an Occupational Therapist!- I sure did! I'm afraid I've left a whole bunch of work to do in the last few months but I've set up a homework schedule and if I stick to it, I think I can do it! Or if I feel too rushed, I can apply for an extension. Thats the beauty of online! So either way, it's going to be good. That's what I keep telling myself!
I've thought a lot about them and these are my new goals for this year:
1. Finish My Pre-Requisites and Apply for the Masters Program (2020)- This my top priority and the first one that needs to be accomplished! I’ve set new deadlines and gosh darn it, I'm going to meet them! Although, I would appreciate all the prayers. (Please and thank you!)
2. Save Money- I've mentioned before that I like to online shop. It's become unnecessary at this point because I have so many clothes! I sell them through the cutest consignment shop but still! It's principle of it. I'm going to save money this year. There's a few trips I want to do, and besides that, it's just time.
3. My third and most important goal is to listen to the Holy Spirit more. I mentioned that I’ve started adding to my Instastories something magical and Spirit led that happens every day and it’s been such a fun adventure so far! Along with that, I need to get back into the word (the Bible). There’s a lot of funky things going on in the world and I want to be sure I’m strongly rooted.
What are you guys hoping to accomplish this year? Can we keep each other accountable?
Love & Prayers,
Lauren xo
