Joel & Marissa
Joel & Marissa met a few years ago and they have the most magical story. Marissa was having a bad day and Joel was the nice guy who made her laugh and made her feel safe. And this weekend they tied the knot.
I've known Joel my whole life and he has a cool story on his own. He's had his challenges but I've never met a more positive person. I think he wakes up every morning with a smile on his face because a) he's always smiling and b) he knows that everyday is filled with new opportunities and a new hope. He said to his mom, "When I get married, Lauren's going to sing at my wedding!" (after I was privileged to sing at brother's wedding). He didn't even know Marissa then! But he was so sure. That speaks to my heart because there are moments when my certainty falters. But here we are today and I was honoured to welcome the guests in, the whole wedding party, and serenade everyone out with my music.
Joel and Marissa, I wish you all the happiness. I wish you strength when the rainy days never seem to leave. I wish you joy in your love every day. I wish you light in a world that's loosing it's shine. But above all, I pray that the Lord be near to you everyday because His love is just too good to pass up. And I think that's the same reason you love each other so much: it's too good to be true.
Love & Prayers,
Lauren xo
P.S.- the photographer who captured the shot above, you can find her at Grey Lily Photography! She is too sweet, so professional, and the photo above? I mean, come on, it's to die for! I know those two are too lovely but she made look brighter! How is the possible?!
