Halloween (Big Kid At Heart)

When I was growing up Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) was my favourite. Her hair was so long and luscious, she has the voice of an Angel and she's so tall. And to this day she is still one of my favourites, but not my favourite anymore. My favourite Disney princess is Belle.

Quite different, wouldn't you say? Exactly. Belle is more petite and not as model like. She's very beautiful but not blonde. But the most interesting thing about Belle is that she says exactly what she thinks where as Sleeping Beauty actually doesn't say much. Belle is actually a real person. Much easier to relate to!

I got off on a tangent. This is a Halloween post. But I was talking about Belle because that's who I'm dressing up as for Halloween. Was I Belle last year?

You bet. But I just can't think of anyone better and I already have the costume so it's a simple choice.

As a little girl, I was so excited for Halloween because it meant that I could be someone different for a night and lots of kind people in our community gave me candy for it. It was a win win! Maybe that's why I acted for a while: I like dressing up as different characters. That's not all there is to acting, don't kid yourself.

Halloween has turned into this huge commercial event and then all the scary movies and the spiritual stuff. I think it's gone a bit too far! I just looked forward to dressing up and getting a year's worth of candy. It's actually a day dedicated to remembering the dead. So I can see how you put a creepy spin on it but have some respect, right?

So as you guys celebrate Halloween with the scary movies, costume parties, eat all the candy you want, I guess my only thought for Halloween would be to really dive into your character! Or just be safe. There's a lot of spooky folks out there.

P.s.- Save me some candy!

Love & Prayers,
