Being A Student Again
I'll give to you straight, there's pros and cons to being an older student. Right now I'm taking Statistics and Anatomy started last Monday. And I went to Art School for a reason, my friends, Math is not a language that I speak well. But Statistics is practical and logical math. I'm taking it online and I made sure that I had a friend that I could call on before I registered. And she is absolutely wonderful.
It's all making a lot of sense, actually, which I praise God for. You get information, you do some calculations and you put them into a graph. Simple, simple, simple. I just have to actually have to do the work. So there’s that.
But this whole "my time isn't really my own anymore" thing is taking some getting used to! I'm so used to planning my own schedule and seeing people every night of the week, if I want to! But now I have to plan my time and make sure that I do enough schoolwork before I tend to my social life. Which, I'd rather spend my time with people rather than a math textbook.
But, my friends, it's going to be good in the end. The new adventure is under way and it's nerve wracking and exciting at the same time! Come to think of it, that's the best combination. And if its wasn’t those two things, I don't believe I would be chasing the dream that I'm after. So if you're on a new adventure, like a new semester of school, a new show or something you're really looking forward to in the near future, I'm excited and nervous for you too. And because of that, I know it's going to be so good.
P.s.- This is why you’ll only be hearing from me once a week now. But I’m praying for ya’ll everyday.
