How I Recharge In My Busy Schedule

I do a lot of things. I've told you that before.  And I enjoy all the things that I'm doing. All of these things contribute to my dream of being an Occupational Therapist. They all have to do with people and they are somehow flow together in one schedule. Don't ask me how, it's a little crazy.

But I know I'm not the only one who has a busy schedule and has to juggle what seems like a million things. I'm glad I'm not the only one, actually. It's a comforting thought! But what  do you guys do when it comes overwhelming and you need to be a hermit for a little while but don't have the luxury to hideaway? I'm going to share a few ways that help me recharge.

1. Running- I used to hate running in high school. I had no trouble with it in a sports setting. There had to be a point! I started running because the Freshman 15 (it is said that first year post-secondary students gain

some weight) and it wasn't a lie. So I started to get rid of it. But the more I did it, the more I realized that it also got rid of some anxiety and tension that wasn't necessary in my day-to-day routine. I kept running and it cleared my head. One day I would love to run a Half-Marathon. I'm at about 5km right now so we'll see. But it's good to have goals, right?

2. Retail Therapy- Now those who have followed along a while know that this one is not a surprise. It's better than it used to be but there's nothing like treating yourself to a tiny reward after a big week. Or a few rewards? If you're an online shopper, you know how easy it is to click the "Place Your Order" button.

3. Meditation- This one may come as a surprise to some of you but likely not all of you. But it is the most important of all. I meditate and keep in constant conversation with God. It makes a huge difference to know a-that I'm not doing this alone and b- that someone's always listening and has unending love for me. He talks to me in a comforting way and never intrudes (though I as wish He would sometimes). He's a gentlemen. We check in about how I can bring the Kingdom better and my heats desires. We talk about the later a lot lately. But I know it's going to be good in the end because He has promised that. Not that it was going to be easier with Him around but that it was going to be better somehow. And I can tell you one thing, friends, it 100% is.

How do you recharge? What's your self-care routine look like?

Love & Prayers,
